Acceptable Use Policy

This policy outlines what is and isn't permitted on DozHost infrastructure. Violations may result in immediate service termination. Last updated: January 1, 2026.

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the rules and restrictions for using DozHost services. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy at all times. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination of your service without notice and without refund.

2. Prohibited Activities

You may not use DozHost services for any of the following:

Illegal Activities

Any activity that violates local, national, or international laws or regulations.

Malware & Hacking

Distributing malware, viruses, ransomware, or conducting unauthorized access to systems or networks.

DDoS Attacks

Launching or facilitating distributed denial-of-service attacks against any target, including other DozHost customers.

Spam

Sending unsolicited bulk emails or operating spam-related services of any kind.

Phishing & Fraud

Hosting phishing pages, scam websites, or fraudulent content designed to deceive or defraud users.

Child Exploitation

Any content that exploits, sexualizes, or harms minors in any way. Zero tolerance — immediate termination and reporting to authorities.

Hosting or distributing copyrighted content without proper authorization from the rights holder.

Cryptocurrency Mining Abuse

Unauthorized or abusive cryptocurrency mining that impacts server performance, exceeds plan resources, or affects other customers.

Network Abuse

Any activity that disrupts, degrades, or interferes with our network or the services of other customers.

Hate Speech & Harassment

Hosting content that promotes hatred, discrimination, or harassment against individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, or other characteristics.

3. Resource Usage

You are responsible for ensuring your usage stays within the allocated resources of your plan. Excessive resource consumption that negatively impacts other customers or our infrastructure may result in throttling, suspension, or termination of your service without prior notice.

4. Network & Bandwidth

Traffic must remain within the limits specified in your plan. DozHost reserves the right to suspend or throttle services that exceed bandwidth limits or generate abusive traffic patterns. Bandwidth overages may result in additional charges or service suspension depending on your plan terms.

5. Security Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for securing your server and any applications running on it. DozHost is not liable for any security breaches resulting from your misconfiguration, weak credentials, or failure to apply security updates.

If your server is compromised and used for malicious activity — even without your knowledge — your service may be suspended immediately to protect our network and other customers. You will be notified and given the opportunity to remediate the issue.

6. Reporting Abuse

If you become aware of any misuse of DozHost services by another customer or third party, please report it immediately to support@dozhost.com or via our Discord server. We take all abuse reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

7. Enforcement

DozHost reserves the right to investigate any suspected violations of this AUP. We may take any of the following actions depending on the severity of the violation:

Issue a warning and request the violation be remediated
Temporarily suspend the service
Permanently terminate the service without refund
Report the activity to relevant authorities where required by law

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. Significant changes will be communicated via email or Discord where possible.
